It’s cloudy now and sadly will be for almost the entirety of next week. It will continue to get warmer and more humid through the night as a warm front swings through. This sets South MS up to be in the warm sector of a large, strong frontal system.
EXPECT SOUTH MS TO HAVE A “MARGINAL” RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER FOR FRIDAY AS DISCREET STORMS WILL POP UP FOR MOST OF THE DAY.
Saturday’s storms will be a little more organized, and carry an “enhanced” designation. The highest chances of severe weather still seem to be between 6 am and noon on Saturday. All modes of severe weather will also be possible, so be on the lookout for heavy rains, lightning, damaging wind, hail, and tornadoes.
