A game of twister over at MGM Park, trying to sort out the scheduling mix-up for this year’s Conference USA Baseball Championship.
According to our media partner, the Sun Herald, the stadium was double-booked for the first day of the tournament set for Wednesday, May 20th, the same day the Biloxi Shuckers were supposed to wrap up a five game home series, now moved to a Tuesday double-header.
That scheduling change cost Overtime Sports President and part owner of the Shuckers Tim Bennett upwards of $27,000.
He says the first Coca-Cola Golf Tournament at Fallen Oak in Saucier later this month will help mitigate the costs.
That being said, there’s still no guarantee the C-USA Tournament will make a return to Biloxi for a fifth time after this year.
