Kids on the Coast learned how to make some unique clay creations on Saturday.
The monthly kids pottery wheel at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art is a way for kids ages seven and up to learn more about the art of pottery and make some unique art of their own.
Students had the chance to operate the pottery wheel and were taught the techniques to mold their own bowls and cups.
Teacher Robin Santana says the class can help kids learn how to create things with their hands. “So, they’re learning finger dexterity. They’re learning how to push and pull and have both hands work together in unison.”
