0

A ridge of high pressure will build across the forecast area through tonight before shifting eastward across the Eastern Seaboard and southeastern U.S. on Christmas Day. A dry and calm airmass will remain in place across our region through the next 24 hours.

Moisture near the surface will favor the development of patchy fog across much of the region late tonight into early Christmas morning, while patchy dense fog formation will be also be possible across South Mississippi. Patchy fog should diminish during the early to mid morning hours.
