It’s a holiday soiree that brought Coast Young Professionals out to Harrah’s Gulf Coast tonight to celebrate the holidays.
They are calling it a party with a purpose. It’s a way to say thanks for all the hard work CYP members do throughout the year.
They dressed in their best tacky sweaters to celebrate a job well done. CYP Director Lindsay Mitchell said, “We’ve had a banner year for 2019. We have topped all of our events for all the many years since our inception in 2007. So, it’s just really a great way to spend our final event celebrating a record breaking year.”
Along with tacky sweaters, those in attendance had a chance to donate to a worthy cause. The United MSD Foundation set up an information booth to help educate on the disease and accepting donations throughout the night. Kaitlyn Orth with the United MSD Foundation said, “365 to Cure MSD campaign. We are trying to get everybody to host a birthday fundraiser on Facebook and the reason why it’s called the 365 Campaign is because we’re trying to find someone with a birthday each day of the year. We actually get corporate matching with that too, a lot businesses will match however much we raise in each month for the birthday month.”
