A holiday tradition in Long Beach featured boats outside of their natural habitat.
The ‘Sea Santa Sail-a-Bration’ rolled Saturday night down Jeff Davis Avenue and past the town green among hundreds of parade-goers.
Around 30 boats on their trailers were decked out in various holiday themes while riders had fun throwing beads and other party favors. Families also had the chance to check out a light show, participate in crafts, and a human snow globe.
Shelda Jones with the Long Beach Community Development Association says the parade is a big hit with the community each year. “Oh, it’s wonderful. We all enjoy doing it. We really enjoy the feedback we get from it.”
