Students from one Biloxi school were in the spirit of giving across the Coast today.
‘Serve Day’ allowed the student body of Cedar Lake Christian Academy to participate in community projects at nursing homes, food banks, and special needs facilities.
Over at Feed my Sheep in Gulfport, a group of seventh and eighth graders served meals and helped freshen up the landscape around the building.
Principal Lisa Williams says it’s all about forming community bonds. “It was our heart at Cedar Lake that we build a relationship in our community. Rather than just community service hours, we wanted to partner with the different entities and serve them throughout the year.”
This marks the first year the school has held ‘Serve Day.’
