The kids at the Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast got a real treat today.
Former Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Quarterback Brett Favre stopped by to say hello. He spent time sharing his experience working in the NFL and offered words of encouragement and answered a few questions.
Favre says he’s delighted to speak to the younger generations and hopes his visit encourages the kids to pursue their dreams. “Our kids are our future. I use to hear those things when I was a little kid and I would be like ‘yeah whatever,’ but then you become an adult, here I am 50 years old, you look at things different. I’ve been very fortunate. I think the older I get I realize how much God has blessed me with.”
Favre and his wife donated $100,000 after Hurricane Katrina for the Forest Heights Boys and Girls Club to rebuild.
