Resident of South Mississippi made their way down to the Coast Coliseum and Convention Center in Biloxi on the hunt for jobs.
The Unemployment Eliminators put on this job fair for those transitioning out of military, high school, college, or unemployed.
The event was open to the public and takes place three times a year, occurring in the spring, summer, and fall.
Events like this can really make a difference in the community, just ask Job Fair Coordinator Darrell Woodrum. “We had a young man who attended our very first job fair in 2014. He was looking for a job and was a veteran who just got out. The next job fair we had here, he was actually working behind one of the tables. So, people actually come here and get jobs and go to work.”
Typically, 20 to 30 companies come out to the fair, varying in fields such as construction, law enforcement, transportation, and so much more.
