Today, the First Lady of Mississippi Deborah Bryant was on the Coast for a women’s conference.
Mrs. Bryant spoke to a group of women about the struggles she has been through in accepting her role as first lady and the platform she has taken on.
Mrs. Bryant tells News 25 she hopes she could inspire other women to be themselves and show that you don’t need to be perfect to make a difference. “And I think anytime women get together and get to share their experiences and what they go through I think people see that sometimes when they are struggling they are not the only ones struggling and that they can do anything and hopefully encourage women that if I can do what I’ve done as first lady that there is no end in what they can do.”
Even though her time as first lady is coming to an end, Mrs. Bryant hopes to continue to encourage and support other women.
