News 25 had a special guest stop by WXXV today: candidate for Lt. Gov. Jay Hughes.
Hughes says that if elected he would like to bring transparency and common sense back to the capital.
He also says if elected he would focus on education and giving the Gulf Coast a voice in Jackson. “Transparency means a lot more than just saying it. It means that you don’t have to have a lobbyist to see the lt. gov. It means that the people will be able to see and know what bills are being presented before they are presented, before they are voted on, we’ll have those a day before. We will have real committee hearings and it will just run the way it should with common sense, compromise and integrity.”
You can cast your vote in the general election on November 5th.
