It was a blast from the past today over at the Armed Forces Retirement Home.
Some solid gold oldies played over the speakers as hundreds of beautiful cars made their way through for all the veterans to see.
This is something that many of the veterans who live in the retirement home say they look forward to all year long.
Like Tony Langdon, a retired chief military police investigator in the U.S. Army, who has been watching the cars parade by for the past eight years. “Well, this brings back good old memories, you know all of these old cars. You know, when I was in high school I wanted a Model 8 Ford. So, one day I was over in Davenport, Iowa and a farmer had a 1929 Model 8 Coup and I have a picture right here.”
The Armed Forces Retirement Home is not an official stop on ‘Cruisin’ the Coast,’ but hundreds of people always show up to show their support for the veterans.
