Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Cruisin’ the Coast.
Thousands of people will descend on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to enjoy favorites like Cruise-ins, headline bands, oldies entertainment, a swap meet, and an auto auction.
In 1996, the event showcased 374 registered cars. The event spans from Pascagoula to Bay St. Louis and last year’s event featured more than 8,000 cars.
In order to provide a warm welcome, volunteers are needed to pass out water and information booklets and give directions.
Event organizer Woody Bailey says it is simple to sign up and help. “We created this program and you can go to our website, Cruisinthecoast.com, and look for ‘Cruisin’ Crew.’ We have an application form there for you to fill out with your information. We have the job descriptions, what’s available from hospitality, traffic direction, just a lot of tasks, office type work, things of that nature.”
Cruisin’ the Coast will take place October 6th through the 13th.
