Mission Accomplished!! Seven hundred and thirty motorcycles and riders descended from Gulfport over the weekend as part of a fundraiser for disabled veterans in Mississippi.
The sixth annual Governor’s Ride for Wounded Warriors kicked off in Richland on Saturday morning and made its way to Gulfport after a stop in Hattiesburg.
Governor Phil Bryant led motorcyclists to Jones Park to wrap up the ride, which benefitted Wounded Warriors of Mississippi.
Riders raised more than $60,000 for veterans as part of this year’s ride.
Governor Bryant said, “They have challenges, whether it’s an automobile that breaks down, whether you have to move from one location to another, healthcare issues that might not be covered by your insurance, so whatever they need we go out and help provide that to them.”
Wounded Warriors of Mississippi is an organization that assists veterans throughout our state.
