It was a little cooler today thanks to the increased cloud cover, but even hotter days lie ahead. An upper level ridge and a surface high come together overhead on Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing temperatures to climb quickly into the mid 90s. Expect these days to be sunny and humid with heat indices in the 105-110 degree range. Thankfully this spike will be short-lived.
A weak cold front will move in from the north Thursday and though it breaks apart as it swings through, highs fall into the upper 80s by the weekend.
It’ll stay on the cooler and drier side for a day or so, but by next Monday we’ll have already climbed back into the low 90s. Monday also happens to be the first day of Fall, but expect to wait for fall-like weather a while longer.
