Biloxi Shuckers vs. Jackson Generals


Despite being a repeat offender in the Southern League Championship Series for the third time in five years, the Biloxi Shuckers have never had a 2-0 lead in this best of five series.

Tonight, they had a chance to change that in game two against the Jackson Generals.

Shuckers playing their very last game of the 2019 season at MGM Park, win, lose, or draw, just two games away from winning their first ever title.

Jackson wins 6-2, as the series falls to even at a game apiece.

A native of Pass Christian and a St. Stanislaus alum, Jeff Haeger comes to News 25 from right in our backyard. He most recently spent more than three years working as the sports reporter for WHLT-TV in Hattiesburg, where he provided extensive coverage of his alma mater, The University of Southern Mississippi.
