#CleartheShelters Campaign Featured Pet: Lucy

You can help make life better for a local animal simply looking for a place to call home!

WXXV has been partnering all week with the Jackson County Animal Shelter to help ‘clear the shelters!’

Thursday’s featured pet is Lucy, a one-year-old female spayed cat who arrived at the shelter on July 1st after she was found abandoned on Pleasant Ridge in Moss Point.

Lucy loves to play with cat toys and keeps herself entertained, but also loves to curl up in your lap for neck rubs.

Adopt Lucy or one of her friends for free this Saturday at the Jackson County Animal Shelter and help us clear the shelters!

Some of us here at WXXV News 25 will be lending a helping hand at the Gautier shelter this Saturday, so come on out to find a furry companion or to just make a donation.

Gautier Family Dental Care will be matching up to $5,000 dollars in donations made at the Jackson County Animal Shelter throughout this month.
