A Heat Advisory for Monday means heat index values will be around 107-110 this afternoon. A few popup showers and t-storms during the afternoon could bring some relief, but not everyone will see rain. This same forecast continues into Tuesday. By Wednesday a cold front will bump up rain chances, although no colder air will move into the area. This will continue into Thursday as well. The front will likely stall somewhere in the northern Gulf of Mexico. It’s no guarantee, but anytime a cold front moves into the Gulf of Mexico this time of year we have to keep an eye on it for tropical development.
