It may be election night, but the weather stops for no one! Rain returned again this afternoon, but the most notable change has been the humidity. Over the past week and a half or so after a rare cold front moved through, the humidity has been slowly climbing.
RECENT HEAT INDICES HAVE BEEN TOPPING OUT IN THE MID 90S, BUT TODAY’S CONDITIONS BROUGHT BACK THE LOW-TO-MID 100S.
There will unfortunately be little change in this regard this week. Expect hot and humid afternoons with highs in the low 90s and heat indices in excess of 100. Our saving grace will continue to be our afternoon shower activity. Expect a slight increase in rain chances through the middle of the week, but regardless we will continue to see a few showers across South MS each afternoon.
