Yes, it is still rainy in South Mississippi, just not all the time. We continue to see long periods of sunny weather, but each afternoon the showers and thunderstorms return. Thankfully, they are rarely severe.
SOME HAVE HAD GUSTING WINDS, POCKETS OF HEAVY RAIN, AND LIGHTNING OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS, BUT OTHERWISE THEY’LL CONTINUE TO SERVE AS A COOLING BREAK IN THE MONOTONY.
The weather otherwise will remain hot and humid. Afternoon highs will linger in the upper 80s and low 90s with nights getting incrementally warmer as it becomes more humid. I still don’t expect any overnight lows to top 80 degrees, but they’re going to come very close. Light cloud cover will remain through most nights, though it will continue to clear until the next day’s activity begins to develop.
