Truck drivers and big rig enthusiasts are in Biloxi for a show highlighting the trucking industry.
The Gulf Coast Big Rig Truck show kicked off this afternoon at the Coast Coliseum and Convention Center complex and features rows of big trucks and booths for people to enjoy.
Along with all the trucks on display, the event promotes the transportation industry and benefits the Wounded Warrior Project. Big Rig Truck Show Marketing and Sales Vice President Jim McCleney said, “The whole purpose is to salute the Wounded Warriors, that’s one of our big projects from the very beginning and we have raffles and proceeds of that go to the Wounded Warriors and in fact the truck convoy is devoted to the Wounded Warrior.”
A convoy of big rigs will make their way to Jones Park in Gulfport along Highway 90 at 7 p.m. Saturday to end the show.
