Heat index readings should remain just below advisory criteria this afternoon but in the triple digits…values at or above 105 degrees can cause health problems with prolonged exposure.
A few more showers/t-storms are expected to show up on the map each day through the start of the week. There is no real high numbers regarding severe weather threats but downburst numbers are slightly elevated Saturday. This could give rise to a few strong wind gusts from thunderstorms that develop and an isolated severe wind gust cannot be ruled out. Thunderstorm activity will be capable of heavy rainfall at times as well.
A front moves to the area and stalls possibly by Tuesday. This will help to provide a better focus for showers/t-storms to develop for the start to middle of next week.
