The Gautier Senior Center welcomed new members today with their annual Fish Fry.
Music, games, and fish welcomed visitors for lunch and an opportunity to learn more about what the senior center has to offer.
The Gautier Senior Center holds monthly meals and provides senior citizens with a place to come together and meet new people.
Senior Center Committee Member Rico Borrazzo tells News 25 that the Gautier Senior Center is more than just a place to hang out. “Many people are lonesome because they have no places to go. They’ve lost their mates. Their typical families have gone down or they may be away from their families. They have no one really to outreach to and make friends. You know, living a life of longevity is a combination of doing things, staying active mentally and physically to be involved with the community.”
Membership is free and if you’re looking for more information on how to join you can check out their Facebook page.
