Back in early June, the Milwaukee Brewers curiously sent Keston Hiura back down to AAA San Antonio despite hitting five home runs in his first 17 games in the bigs.
The former Biloxi Shucker was eventually recalled later that month and has been on an absolute tear ever since.
Today, Hiura was batting clean-up for the Brewers against the Atlanta Braves, going 2-4 with an RBI double and a run scored.
Coming into Wednesday’s matinee game, the former first round pick had four home runs, four steals, nine RBI, and nine runs scored to go along with a .357 batting average in 15 games since returning to the show.
The Brewers beat the Braves 5-4 this afternoon, taking two out of three in the series.
