Hurricane Barry came and went over the weekend bringing rain, cloudy skies, and cooler weather to the Gulf Coast. That’s now all but gone, and our normally hot and humid weather summertime pattern has returned. Today’s high returned to the upper 80s, with heat indices in the 100 degree range.
These numbers will go up in the days ahead as the temperature climbs back into the low 90s and the humidity remains high.
That’s about where we’ll stay as well. We’ll see no significant change in cloud cover or rain chances until nearly a week from today. By then a few clouds move in and rain chances rise to 30%, but overall we’re in for a much drier week ahead.
