Second annual Cornhole Tournament

Cornhole enthusiasts and animal lovers gathered in Pascagoula for a good cause.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter hosted its second annual Cornhole Tournament at the Elks Lodge to raise money for the shelter.

Teams registered for the tournament and competed against each other at different cornhole stations throughout the event.

All money raised during the event was donated to the animal shelter. Jackson County Animal Shelter Adoption Coordinator Maridee Mallette said, “We need those funds to support the animals getting out and for medicines and things like that. It makes a major difference in the animals’ lives when people help by donating.”

You can also make donations of food and other animal supplies to the shelter at any time.
