Mauricio Dubon promoted to Milwaukee Brewers

Former Biloxi Shucker Mauricio Dubon is finally getting his crack at the show, having received a promotion to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.

Despite going 0-1 in a pinch-hit situation yesterday, Dubon has plenty to offer the Brew Crew in the second half of the season as the organization’s fifth ranked prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.

The speedy middle infielder is hitting .307 across 83 games this season to go along with 14 home runs and nine stolen bases.

After reaching Triple A in his first season with the Brewers, Dubon played in the MLB Futures Game in 2017, but lost most of his 2018 season to a torn ACL.

Dubon is filling in for the injured Orlando Arcia, another former Shucker.
