Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney tells News 25 that a faulty fire alarm is typically the reason for deaths in house fires. “We had a structure fire just a while back, a week or so ago, where we lost a young man in a structure fire and there was no working smoke detectors in the house. We find that in Biloxi the vast, the biggest majority of fire deaths are due to not working smoke detectors in a home and it’s a simple process.”

If you’d like to schedule a fire alarm check you can call the Biloxi Fire Department at 228-435-6222.
