New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan is very much on record stating his desire to play his entire career with the New Orleans Saints. As of today, he has 52 and a half million reasons to make that happen.
A great start to minicamp for Jordan who’s reportedly agreed to a contract extension with the Saints that would keep him in New Orleans through 2023.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is worth $52.5 million with $42 million of that guaranteed and a possible max out of $55.5 million.
During his first eight seasons with the Saints, Jordan has accumulated 71 and a half sacks and has recorded at least seven and a half sacks in each of the past seven seasons.
Jordan’s $17.5 million average salary ranks fourth at his position.
