No matter what the weather will be, you’ll be covered tomorrow for the first-ever ‘Crawdads and Candidates’ forum set to take place in Gulfport.
You’ll get the chance to gather at the Barksdale Pavilion in Jones Park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to check out the candidates who will be on the 2019 general election ballot.
Candidates for seats in Harrison County will be on hand, sharing their platforms and meeting with those in attendance. There will be live music, crawfish, and drinks.
The event is being hosted by the Rotary Club of Gulfport and funds raised at the event will go to the club’s international projects. Christina Barton with Gulfport Rotary said, “A lot of eyes right now are watching the gubernatorial race. We have two candidates from that race that are going to be here stumping on stage. We also have lieutenant governor candidates as well. We know that the Harrison County coroner’s race is huge. We have both of those candidates. There are two people running in that race and they are both going to be here tomorrow.”
General admission will be $5.
