You are never too old to learn more about your health! That’s exactly what dozens of senior citizens did this morning at the Donal M. Snyder Community Center in Biloxi.
Seniors had a chance to browse tables with healthcare information on them and talk to professionals, but this health fair gave seniors a chance to get a little more hands-on when it comes to their health and well-being.
All throughout the day, seniors could stop by and take part in different sessions, learning things they may not normally hear about. Persharon Dixon with The Links Inc. said, “They will learn about good foot care from a podiatrist that is here. They will also learn about HIV and AIDS in seniors. That is something that we are not talking about as much. They will get a demonstration on how to prepare foods for themselves that are going to keep them healthy and they are going to get demonstrations of healthy activities that can include dancing as well as kickboxing.”
