Graduation is a milestone many students strive for and for the Ocean Springs class of 2019 the time has come.
Tonight, the Mississippi Coast Coliseum was packed with friends and family ready to cheer their graduates across the stage.
A few graduates say this night has been a long time coming, but it is hard to say goodbye to the way things used to be. Graduate Nyla Durden said, “We’ve all grown up together and been friends for so long. It’s honestly going to be just sad when we take the caps and we switch the tassels, but we’re all just so sweet to each other and we’re really a family as a class.”
Graduate Morgan Coker said, “It’s just going to be nerve-racking being in front of all the people that have watched you grow.”
Graduate Austin Ladnier said, “It’s such a bittersweet moment. Our class has grown so much together over the years. We’ve all grown up together and it’s going to be definitely hard leaving all these people.”
Nyla and Austin are headed to MGCCC and Morgan is headed to the University of Mississippi.
