Woman killed in Biloxi, suspect in custody


An investigation is underway in Biloxi after a woman was killed overnight on Judge Sekul Avenue.

Thirty-seven year-old Gary Wallace is in custody, facing murder charges in connection with the death of a 45 year-old woman. Harrison County Deputy Coroner Brian Switzer identified the woman as Penny Barrett-Clark of Biloxi. When police arrived, they say they found the victim unconscious and she appeared to have been physically assaulted. She was transported to Merit Health hospital, where she later died. Wallace is now being charged with murder, with a bond set at one million dollars. The victim’s body is being sent to Jackson for an autopsy.
