St. Martin Baseball Year in Review

The St. Martin baseball team is now more than 72 hours removed from its final out of the 2019 season, ending an incredible post-season run just two wins shy of the program’s first-ever state title.

Instead, the Yellowjackets are now turning the page from their first-ever South State championship which is still a forever memory for Head Coach Kary Bridges, now with some time to decompress following Friday’s 5-0 defeat to Desoto Central. “Phew, man. I’m going to remember the last two home games, Oak Grove that clinched the third game of that series and then the South State championship game. Atmosphere, the way the community got behind us, just a great year. Great ride. We really enjoyed – I really enjoyed this and I think the community enjoyed it too and that’s what’s so great.”
