Colt Wolfe has been battling cancer for a year and a half now so the Make-A-Wish Foundation wanted to treat him with a special surprise to brighten his day.
This afternoon, the Model Train Museum in Gulfport pulled out all the stops for Colt with a special party. Make-A-Wish representatives also surprised him and his family with a trip to Orlando at the end of this month.
Colt’s mom, Jackie Wolfe, says he has been in and out of the hospital for more than a year. He suffers from a cancer that stems from a tumor behind his eye, affecting his vision.
Today, his family said seeing a smile on his face truly touched their hearts. There’s even more in store for Colt on his trip to Florida. He’s going to meet his hero, Spider-Man. Jackie said, “It’s a happy day. It is. It’s exciting because I get to see him happy and he is not sitting in a bed bored and can’t see the TV and can’t really talk to me when I have to go and tend to my other three children. So, it is exciting to see them all happy and having a release.”
Colt said, “ I love Spider-Man. I finally got my wish.”
Colt and his family will be heading to Disney World and Universal Studios on May 25th.
