More sunny weather in South MS today, but that long trend is finally coming to an end this weekend. A slow-moving front is heading in and will be here by lunchtime on Sunday. In the meantime, we’ll see a surge in low-level moisture and cloud cover through Saturday.
THIS WILL LIKELY LEAD TO A FEW DAYTIME HEATING/SEA BREEZE INDUCED SHOWERS SATURDAY AFTERNOON, BUT THE ORGANIZED RAIN WILL WAIT FOR SUNDAY.
Current timing has it coming in after lunch and petering out Monday morning. Cloud cover and showers will linger some into the morning, but will clear rapidly into the evening. Temperatures start to rise as upper level ridging catches up with surface high pressure, so expect to see the first 90s of the year by the end of next week.
