Many people who made it out to the event say it’s important to remain a close supportive community. Fundraiser participant Tonya Cain said, “Losing Officer McKeithen was a huge tragedy to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to the Biloxi Police Department and to all the Biloxi people who loved him so much so to be here and back the blue is all that matters to us.”

Fundraiser participant Brock Newell said, “He did a lot to take care of us in the city. Now, it’s time to return that to his family since he’s no longer here with us. We’ve got to support the family and show the community that we support all our officers.”

Fundraiser participant Marlee Schevers said, “This all kind of hits home for us and it’s really important to stand behind all the first responders and support what they do, especially when something so terrible happens.”

The Blind Tiger Supervisor Jessica Davis said, “We’re honored the McKeithen’s allowed us to do this for them. We’re a really tight-knit community and we like to support each other.”

If you missed this event, don’t worry. There are several other fundraisers and events you can take part in to support the McKeithen family.
