Today, the Coast buried Biloxi Police Officer Robert McKeithen, a 24-year veteran law enforcement officer who was gunned down in the parking lot of police headquarters last Sunday night.
It was an emotional day in Biloxi as thousands gathered to say their final farewell to Officer McKeithen.
Among the many visitors at McKeithen’s service was Lt. Governor Tate Reeves. Reeves spoke during the service and thanked not only Officer McKeithen for his service, but all of the men and women who were there in uniform for putting their lives on the line each and every day. “His untimely death did show that there is evil in the world, but the way in which he lived his life also showed that there are men and women throughout the state that get up every day and do the right thing.”
