Ole Miss ‘Nasty Wide Outs’ find home in second round

At this same time last month, Ole Miss wide receivers AJ Brown and DK Metcalf were projected to be first round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft.

After the first round came and went without their names being called last night, what’s the hold up?

Well, only two wide receivers were taken in the first round, but even still, Brown fell all the way to the Tennessee Titans at number 51 overall while Metcalf got scooped up with the very last pick of the second round by the Seattle Seahawks.

Brown joins another standout from the Magnolia State in Mississippi State’s Jeffrey Simmons who was the first round pick of the Titans yesterday. He led the Rebels in virtually every receiving category in 2018 while Metcalf really boosted his stock during the pre-draft phase after missing the back half of his junior year with a neck injury.

Brown was the fourth wideout taken and Metcalf the ninth.
