Ocean Springs High School hosted a signing day for graduating seniors who plan to enroll in something bigger than themselves.
The school hosted their inaugural ‘Military Signing Day,” showcasing students enlisting in the military.
Sixteen students signed their letters of intent this morning including Jessica Quiros, who received a presidential nomination to attend the Air Force Academy.
Quiros was surprised that she received such a rare nomination “I don’t believe that it’s happening to me because there are so many good candidates that could have gotten something. There are so many other people that could have gotten an appointment. It’s kind of surreal to know they chose me over all the 10,000 people that applied and it’s an amazing feeling.”
The students who signed today are all going to the Air Force or the Army.
