Hundreds packed into Lighthouse Park on Saturday to celebrate the City of Pascagoula.
The free event featured live music, food, and arts and crafts vendors.
The annual event is in its sixth year, centered around the Pascagoula River. The festival was created to celebrate the beauty of the river which is the largest free flowing river in the United States.
Event Organizer Jennifer Evans tells News 25 that the event is one of the more popular in the city. “It’s basically an event to get everybody to come together as a community to celebrate the river and just really to show the unique assets that we have in the Pascagoula and Jackson County areas.”
The event ended the night with fireworks and a performance from the Red Clay Strays.
