The food, music, and good times are gone, but the remnants of Black Beach Weekend still remain along Highway 90 in Biloxi.
Crews started work early this morning to clean up what was left behind. This was the first time the event lasted over a total of four days and spring breakers soaked up the sun until the last minute Sunday evening.
Biloxi city officials tell News 25 the massive event seems like it was a success for both the city and beachgoers. Vincent Creel with the City of Biloxi said, “The traffic plan worked just the way it was supposed to and dispersed traffic and kept the emergency lane open for emergency vehicles which we had a number of responses over the weekend. We had the weather which was a factor which did not keep spring breakers from walking along the beachfront. They enjoyed the views. They enjoyed the strong winds.”
