Friday shaping up to be not too bad. We will have clouds with a mix of sun and maybe a few passing showers. It will be warm once again with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Saturday will be similar and not too bad. We will likely see a few downpours during the afternoon with a very strong wind off the waters. If you’re planning to be on the beach it’s going to very windy. By Saturday night the chance for severe weather will go up. We are under a slight risk (level 2 out of 5). Widespread severe weather isn’t expected in South Mississippi, but we can’t rule out high winds or even isolated tornadoes as the line of t-storms move through sometime Saturday night. With the threat during the overnight hours it’s important to have multiple ways to wake you should a tornado warning be issued for your area. Your cellphone (WXXV Weather App) and a weather radio are great ways to alert you while asleep. The best chance for severe weather Saturday afternoon will be to the west in Louisiana and East Texas where a Moderate Risk (Level 4 out of 5) exists. Sunday afternoon will likely be nice with Monday being absolutely beautiful! Our next storm system moves in Wednesday into Thursday next week.
