Grey skies have moved in, but the rain and potentially severe thunderstorms stay away a little longer. Current timing has the worst of it moving into South MS just after midnight and moving out before 6 AM. The overnight passage will help in terms of local instability, but the potential for dangerous weather is as high as we’ve seen it this year. Add to that the fact we’re seeing a “moderate” risk in the northern parts of the state and it’s definitely a worrisome situation. Be sure to have your WXXV Weather App handy to stay up to date on the happenings and we’ll likely be in-studio ready to update as needed. Thankfully the storms are gone by noon on Sunday and the blue sky an sunshine return for the beginning of the week.
