Wayne ‘Buddy’ Kennedy is returning to his old stomping grounds as the new and old head boys basketball coach at Pass Christian High School.
Kennedy originally retired after the 2016 season, handing the reigns over to Willie James for the past three years.
But with the Pirates in search of a new head man once again, they turned back to Kennedy who won more than 500 games during his 23 years in the Pass and brought home the 3A state crown in 2009.
Kennedy says, “I am very excited to be back and anxious to go to work. I have missed the relationships with the guys that you form while coaching.”
