The Center for Autism will be hosting their inaugural ‘Walk without Limits’ bright and early on Saturday to help turn people’s disabilities on the Coast into possibilities, but they are still seeking volunteers.
All ages with physical and mental disabilities are invited to participate. Volunteers will be doing everything from manning the tables to helping out with the walkers.
The walk will start at 9 a.m., but volunteers are encouraged to arrive at 8. All proceeds will benefit the Center for Autism. Ganece Darden with the Center for Autism said, “We want to focus on the abilities and not the disabilities. So, everybody is able to do something. That’s why we’re having this walk so we can include everyone. All disabilities are welcome to participate in the walk on Saturday morning in the walk.”
The entry fee is $12 for adults and $5 for kids and that includes an event t-shirt.
Participants are encouraged to stay for the Shuckers game happening that evening as well.
