One of the biggest spring break events on the Coast is just a few weeks away. The sixth annual Black Beach Weekend will be here starting April 11th.
This is the first year they are starting the party on Thursday. News 25 spoke with Derrian Burns, one of the promoters, who says they are preparing for 30,000 plus people to attend this year, weather permitting. So, hopefully lots of business for the Coast.
Burns also mentions they are going to have people coming in from all over the country, but they are hoping for more locals to come out too. “People have looked forward to this weekend. They plan for it every year before they can get back in their cars or get back on their planes to where they are from they are already trying to book rooms for next year. The coast is very unique. We have people coming from Chicago, Wisconsin, all over the country to enjoy Biloxi, Mississippi so there is something unique about our Coast down here and people want to see it.”
Saturday night the Coast Coliseum will be hosting a concert featuring Kevin Gates, NBA Youngboy, Jaquees, and multiple other performers.
There will also be plenty of events at the Coliseum Friday through Sunday for visitors and Coast residents to enjoy.
