Feeling artsy? Well, the Arts of Hancock County has an event for you!
The annual Arts Alive Festival will take place this weekend for the 17th time. The festival is centered in the heart of Old Town Bay St. Louis.
The event features over 50 area artists and performers from across the area. This is the first year that the event is two days as a result of the growth from last year’s festival.
Arts of Hancock County Vice President Ann Madden tells News 25 that this event’s focus is to drive attention to the many great local artists. “I think that people don’t realize how many amazing artists we have here. I think people think of, you know, New Orleans or maybe Ocean Springs or whatever. As wonderful as those artists are and absolutely there is give and take, Bay St. Louis has a tremendous amount of local, like very, very, very local homegrown artists, too.”
The event is free to the public and will kick-off at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
