The Ides of March are here and all we need to beware of are a few showers. The cold front has moved to the East, but we remain under cloudy skies and rain is moving in. This is due to what is essentially a wiggle in the pressure field which happens to be co-located with enough instability and moisture to enhance some elevated features. A stray thunderstorm isn’t impossible, but expect mostly just rain and certainly not any severe weather.
The clouds will linger through the front half of Saturday but will begin clearing as we roll into St. Patrick’s day.
Even then you should still expect mostly sunny skies with mild temperatures, but the sun comes out and remains for the rest of next week. Expect what I consider perfect South MS weather next week: temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s with lower than average humidity and beautiful sunny skies.
