A big time honor for Jayden McCorvey who was selected for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game earlier today.
He leads the Panthers in scoring with more than 19 points per game and is one of just two players from the Coast to make the team. “I’ve been working for this my senior year and I’ve been working hard, long weekends and long days putting in the work and it finally paid off. It’s the best versus the best and Alabama, we’re going to show them Mississippi do it.”
Biloxi’s Jariyon Wilkens also made the cut for Mississippi’s 12 man roster. The senior twin is one of the key components to Big Red’s 18-0 start.
It’s McCorvey and Wilkens and then Auburn signee out of East Central Sania Wells representing for the ladies.
North-South roster also released on Thursday with five local juniors getting the nod. For the boys it’s Gulfport’s Nate Hudson and Biloxi’s Caleb McCarty. For the girls you’ve got Harrison Central’s De’Asia Booker, Moss Point’s Robyn Lee, and Biloxi’s Marcavia Shavers.
